Quick And Easy! Pad Thai noodle

Pad Thai is one of the most famous stir-fried noodles in the world. The combination of tamarind sauce,  fish sauce, and palm sugar create such an essential flavor in Pad Thai.

The traditional Pad Thai ingredients are made of many different ingredients e.g. dried shrimp, tofu, preserved radish, etc. which is quite difficult to get in Europe. However the major flavour of Pad Thai, it’s come from fish sauce, tamarind sauce, and palm sugar if you have these three ingredients you definitely can make Pad Thai.

Ingredients

Rice noodles used medium size, soak in room temperature water for at least 15 minutes or until soft and flexible.

 Medium size Rice noodle.

Fish sauce for the salty taste. Some people do not like the smell of it you can substitute it with soy sauce.

tamarind sauce for the sour taste. Tamarind sauce It’s a simple ingredient in many Asian cuisines but if you do not live around the Asian market it can be difficult to find it so you can be used a substitute with lime juice or lemon juice.

palm sugar for the sweet taste. can be substituted with brown sugar.

chilli flake for the spice up the teste.

roasted crushed peanuts for serving (optional in case of allergic.)

lime or lemon wedge for serving.

ingredients 

  • 150g rice noodles.
  • 1 big carrot slice into the stripe.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 8 prawns.
  • 1 red onion.
  • 1/2 cup water.
  • 225g Palm sugar.
  • 120g Tamerind sauce.
  • 40g Fish sauce.
  • 1/2tsp chilli flakes (can add more or less)
  • 2Tbsp cooking oil.
  • Roasted crushed pea nuts optional serve aside of noodles.
  • Lime or lemon waged optional serve aside of noodles.


How to make Easy homemade Pad Thai noodle.

  • In a wok over medium-high heat fried eggs and prawns when it cooked leave it aside.
  • Used a same wok over medium-high heat add cooking oil fried red onion about 2 minutes then add water, bring to boil then add plan sugar, chilli flakes, fish sauce and tamarind sauce bring to boil again and leave the sauce to reduce a little bit and thicker.
  • Add rice noodles into the sauce, stirring it regularly until the sauce coated all the noodles then add carrots, cook carrots for 2 minute then add spring onion and fried eggs and prawns.
  • Take off the wok and serve right away, pour 1-2 tbsp of crushed roasted peanuts next to noodles and a wage of lime or lemon.


Pad Thai is the most common Thai street food menu, you can easily find it everywhere, Thai people eat Pad Thai as a main dish it can be for lunch or dinner served with garlic chives or a waged banana blossom as a side salad.
