This delicious and easy apple strudel is one of my favorite dessert recipies. you can serve it any time of the year. once you make it for your family and guests, I’m sure they will ask you for more.
A strudel is a baked dessert with puff pastry wrapped around the filling and a topped sprinkle of sugar, the classic apple strudel is made from a puff pastry and to save me the time I used a store-bought puff pastry.

Apple use Granny Smith apples or red apples but not use the one that test sweet.
Sugar the brawn sugar will prevent the nice caramel colour and smooth sweet flavor, Granulated sugar will give a little sweetness.
Butter unsalted butter is always the best choice for baking.
Cornstarch will hepl thickens the filling.
Spices cinnamon is alway goes well with apple.
Puff pastry buy one from the store to save your time, the result are the same as homemade one.
Egg to add an egg brush on the outside, make the strudel got a beatiful golden colour.
Milk to mix with egg

- 5 apples
- 4 Tbsp butter.
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar.
- 1/ cup granulated sugar.
- 3 heaping tsp corn starch.
- 1 heaping tsp ground cinnamon.
- 1/4 tsp salt.
- 1 heaping tsp orange zest. (can use the store-bought package)
- 1/2 cup raisins.
- 1/2 walnuts
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp milk

First, peel the apple and slice them about 2-3 millimeters not too thin otherwise your filling will turn mashy
In the pan use the medium to high heat melted butter then add apples, cook the apple with butter for 4-5 minutes until soft then add all the spices
Toss all spices with the apple until the sugar melted down and coated all the apple. then add raisins and walnuts turn the gas off and let it cool down before putting in the puff pastry.

place the puff pastry on the baking sheet and add the strudel filling across the middle of the pastry then then slice the side of the pastry into stripe about 1 cm wide then fold each stripe from each side across each other. after done the wrap brush outside the strudel with egg mix with milk the sprinkle all over with brown sugar.
Bake for about 18-20 minutes in the middle of the oven, until lightly golden on top.
let it cool down before seeing. I like having cold apple strudel so I normally leave the apple strudel overnight before serving.
